Senior Cassie Clarke was named the tournament Most Valuable Player, and Kourtni Williams, Elizabeth Nagel and Sierra Shipley joined Clarke on the All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Bulldogs are now 14-0 and ranked #21 in the nation by USA Today.

Fifth graders Heather Osburne and Kambre Whisenhunt won first place and third place respectively, in the Great Arkansas Cleanup Youth Poster Contest, sponsored by Keep Arkansas Beautiful and the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.  John Pope, Vice Chairman of the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission, presented the students with awards in Leverett's library.  The purpose of the contest was to involve students, increase awareness and to educate the public that litter and using illegal dumping sites have a harmful effect on the environment and Arkansas' quality of life.

McNair was named the 2008 Arkansas Middle School of the Year, and McNair principal Michelle Hayward was named the 2008 Middle Level Principal of the Year.

McNair will be officially honored at a ceremony at the school in late February.
